”TO WORK IN THE BEST INTERSEST OF THE PATIENT IS OUR TOP PRIORITY”

Internal Medicine is a medical specialty, which focuses on the diagnosis, treatment and prevention of non-surgical conditions in the adults. It has a number of subspecialties such as critical care, nephrology, cardiology, rheumatology, immunology, gastroenterology, neurology, endocrinology and hematology.

This medical specialty is incredibly varied, because it focuses on the whole body of the patient. Internal Medicine specialists (known as Internist) are often involved in solving medical puzzles, since they are familiar with wide range of medical conditions and their causes.(Note: Don’t confuse Internist with Intern, as the later term is used for doctors involved in supervised postgraduate training)
Diagnosis and treatment of conditions is an important role in an internist’s job. The internist can refer a patient to a specialist if he feels that a treatment requires special care.

The department of Internal Medicine at Sahara Hospital is comprised of three consultants-Dr.H.N.Tripathi(Senior Consultant who is Chief Medical Superintendent, Co-ordinator Medical Care).
