Approx 100 patients were registered in the camp and 50 mammograms were done by the joint efforts of Sahara Hospital & Mobecomm (Canada) by this new machine.

On this occasion, a free camp was organized by Dietics Department, Sahara Hospital for patients. Lucknow, July 28, 2016: World Hepatitis Day is celebrated on July 28th every year. Sahara Hospital organized a free screening camps for hepatitis B, and C on 28th July 2016 Thursday 9: 00 am to 2:00 pm to create awareness and prevention of Hepatitis among the people.

Nurses Education Program was Sahara Hospital organized Program is certified by American College of Continuing Medical Education
Lucknow, August 23, 2015: Sahara Hospital, the multi super specialty, tertiary care hospital in the region ,organized a Continuing Medical Education (CME) on ‘Nurses Education Program’ at its premises. The program is certified by the American College of Continuing Medical Education and was organized by Sahara Hospital Lucknow. The topic of the certified CME was Diabetes Management using modern techniques and equipments. All the participants were awarded a certificate from the American College of Continuing Medical Education. The CME program was conducted by Dr. Arun Pandey, DM – Endocrinology, Sahara Hospital. Medical experts who addressed the CME included Dr. Preeti Dabadghao.
The CME program comprised of comprehensive lectures on Diabetes including the complications involved in Diabetes, methods to control Diabetes, workshop on insulin delivery technique, methodology of mixing various insulin, usage of modern insulin delivery devices, etc.

Interventional pain management is emerging field of pain medicine .Sahara hospital is running interventional pain management with Dr.Devendra Singh from last three years thousands of patients have been given consultation and hundreds of interventional procedure have been done. The CME and workshop was organized by Sahara Hospital & KGMU under guidance of Dr.Vikram Patel , World renowned pain physician from Chicago and Dr. Devendra Singh of Sahara Hospital .it was attendant by 20 physicians from all over the country including SGPGIMS & AIIMS ,Delhi. This CME had intervention lectures an hands on cadaver workshop training for 3 days.
Emphasis was given on the use of radiofrequency ablation which is safe and given long lasting pain relief in intractable chronic pain.

To commemorate the World Hepatitis Day towards Corporate Social Responsibility Sahara Hospital
took sincere initiative on this day and organized a mega FREE SCREENING CAMP in association
with HOPE INITIATIVE a NGO working ruthlessly towards awareness & eradication of Hepatitis
The camp was Inaugurated by Shri Anil Vikram Singh Sr. Advisor Sahara India Pariwar and
renowned gastroentrologist & Hepatologist Dr. G. Choudhuri. People from all sects and caste
actively participated in the screening camp which lasted for more than 8 hours.
In this screening camp 425 people were screened out of which 8 people were found Hepatitis B +
(Positive) unfortunately. Now these all Hepatitis B + people shall be given proper counselling
by Dr. G. Choudhuri himself. Treatment of Hepatitis is available at Sahara Hospital.

Oral cancer treated in Sahara Hospital with modern technique
A Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme was organized jointly by marketing department of Sahara Hospital and Indian Medical Association (IMA) Pratapgarh at Hotel Goyal Residency, Pratapgarh on 25th September, 2013.
At this CME, specialists from cardiology, CVTS and pain management departments shed light on different activities and future plans of their department. Dr Vishal Srivastava of Cardio Vascular Thoracic Surgery Department gave information on the topic 'Advances in cardio vascular thoracic surgeries in Sahara Hospital'. He told about the use of modern technology in complex surgeries in Sahara Hospital and how this kind of technology was not easily available. One has to go to metros (big cities) to get such modern treatment. He informed that more than 100 such successful complex surgeries had been conducted at Sahara Hospital. Dr Vivekananda Singh of Surgical Oncology Department gave a talk on the topic 'New trends in the management of oral cancer'. He discussed about the latest techniques in use for it and added that these facilities were available in Sahara Hospital. Dr Devendra Singh of Pain Management Clinic, Sahara Hospital discussed on 'Recent approaches in interventional pain management'. The Physiotherapy Awareness Camp which was organised on the occasion of World Physiotherapy day on 9th September, 2013
Physical Therapy or Physiotherapy is a Health Care remedy which activates and strengthens the muscles through massages and appropriate exercises that facilitates joint movement. Physiotherapy gives results without surgery or medicines and hence offer protection from drug side-effects. However, to make physiotherapy effective, it is necessary that a strict schedule of exercises be repeated regularly, until the malady is cured. If you are suffering from pain in any part of your body and you don't want to take any medicine therefore, there is no need to worry as physiotherapy is the best option for you. The biggest advantage of physiotherapy is that it involves minimal use of drugs. However, exercise programme needs to be carried out under the strict supervision of a trained physiotherapist.
The Physiotherapy Department of Sahara Hospital made available free services at the Physiotherapy Awareness Camp which was organised on the occasion of World Physiotherapy day on 9th September, 2013. About 150 patients suffering from muscular and bone problems participated in the camp and were offered free services for alleviation of their problems. The camp was attended by all seniors of Sahara Hospital also. Here free consultation was provided to patients suffering from Ergonomics related problems and the patients who were suffering from injuries during their sports activities were given special attention. The main objective of this camp was to create awareness about physiotherapy among people.

Importance of physiotherapy growing fast : Dr Mansoor Hasan
On 9th September, 2013 World Physiotherapy Day was observed in Sahara Hospital located in Gomtinagar, Lucknow. On this occasion, a free camp was organized by Physiotherapy Department for patients. More than 150 patients suffering from various diseases got treatment and learnt exercises. The camp was inaugurated by Academic Director, Sahara Hospital, Dr Mansoor Hasan; Officiating Director Sahara Hospital Dr Mazhar Husain and CEO, Sahara Hospital Brig (Retd) Amitabha. During the inauguration of the camp, Dr Mansoor Hasan said that earlier not many people knew about the importance of physiotherapy. Now physiotherapy is required in the treatment of many diseases. Importance of physiotherapy has increased and patients are benefitting from it. Dr Mazhar Husain conveyed his greetings on World Physiotherapy Day and said that this camp would help those people more who are not able to afford such facilities. Praising the Physiotherapy Department he said that not only did the department have high quality instruments but trained physiotherapists also. Here exercises are planned differently for each patient based on requirement. CEO of Sahara Hospital Brig (Retd) Amitabha said that Sahara Hospital often organizes free health camps in its efforts to keep society healthy. Chief Physiotherapist Dr Manish Kumar Singh of Sahara Hospital said that patients who had come to the camp were given free physiotherapy treatment and were also told about exercises. Patients suffering from health problems like spondylitis, low back pain, arthritis, including sports injuries were treated in the camp. Sahara Hospital organizes symposium on Safe Blood Transfusion on 1st July, 2013
The Transfusion Medicine Department of Sahara Hospital organized a symposium on 'Individual Blood Donor Nucleic Acid Test' under the CME (Continuing Medical Education) Series on 1st July, 2013 at the Piccadily Hotel in Lucknow. The purpose of this CME programme was to increase public awareness about the importance of blood screening and discuss advancements in safe blood transfusion methods. 'Individual Donor Nucleic Acid Test' (ID-NAT) is a novel blood screening technique which shortens the time between infection and detection of a pathogen in the blood stream. Since ID–NAT is highly sensitive to the presence of any pathogen, it is more effective in ensuring safe blood transfusion as compared to other blood screening methods.
THE CME opened with a Press Meet headed by the Director of Sahara Hospital, Padma Shri Awardee, Dr Mansoor Hasan. Many foreign delegates were also present along with him at the Press Meet. The closing of the Press Meet was presided over by Brigadier (Retd) Amitabha, the CEO of Sahara Hospital. The evening Scientific Session commenced with a welcome address by Dr Ashish Tiwari, Head of Transfusion Medicine at Sahara Hospital. This was followed by an address by Dr HN Tripathi, CMS and Medical Coordinator, who imparted information about Sahara Hospital to the gathering. Dr Ravi Reddy from South Africa, Dr Anant Deshpande from Mumbai and Dr Jerry Holmberg who is based in the United States, spoke on topics related to transfusion medicine, advancements in the field of blood bank management and the functioning of state-of-the-art pathological labs in front of invited specialists.

Talking of complex coronary artery ailments, Sahara Hospital's Interventional Cardiologist Dr Naveen Jamwal said that heart ailments can be kept away by adopting a healthy lifestyle. This would include healthy diet, avoiding fast food and useful exercises like walking. Along with it, it is imperative to lead a stress-free life. This can be attained through yoga and meditation. In the same context, cardio-thoracic and vascular surgeon Dr Vishal Srivastava said that Sahara Hospital is well-equipped with most modern equipment, facilities and systems. There is a ratio of one nurse to one patient in the intensive care units that are also equipped with hi-tech imaging, radiology and pathological investigation systems. He added, 'We are regularly and successfully conducting beating heart coronary artery bypass graft, minimally invasive cardiac surgery, valve surgery, congenital cardiac operations and thoracic and vascular surgeries'.
Endocrinologist Dr Santosh Chaube said that India has the largest number of diabetes patients in the world. Diabetics are specially rising among the young. 'Till we are able to generate social awareness on obesity and irregular lifestyle, this will go on inflicting high damages upon our society and nation'. Dr Santosh Chaube also discussed clinical causes and adverse effects of hyper-and hypotension, thyroid and hormone levels that generate problems in management of anaesthesia and surgery. He said that salt balance, BP, mental state, weight and endurance also posed challenges during endocrinal emergencies. During the CME, pain management expert Dr Devendra Singh stated that complex pains are much prevalent among people. Under interventional pain management, finding the correct reason and treating it through minimally invasive procedures are covered.
It changes level of life for the patient. As it is a rising field, there is a need to spread awareness towards it. Prior to this, Sahara Hospital's marketing head Sri RS Jha stated in the press conference that Sahara Hospital is a super-speciality tertiary care destination that was inaugurated in Lucknow in February, 2009. Presently the hospital is active with approximately 300 beds. After completion of its second phase, the plan is to raise the number of beds to 554.
